Take a spin at the Winter Wonderland
Winter Wonderland has become a holiday tradition for many families. Originally opened in 1950, the attraction originally only had the Ferris Wheel and a petting zoo. Today, there are over 15 rides and attractions that include the Winter Wonderland Carousel, Bumper Cars, a Tilt-A-Whirl, and a Kiddieland Carousel for children under 10 years old. The merry-go-round style Kiddieland Carousel features beautifully painted horses designed by local artists. Winter Wonderland is a great place for kids to enjoy their first roller coaster ride. The Bumper Cars are two-seaters that participants drive around an enclosed track while trying to bump into other cars.
In addition, the Ferris Wheel is one of the most iconic rides at Winter Wonderland. The giant wheel is 60 feet tall and can hold up to 12 passengers. The ride rotates slowly as passengers take in the view of Downtown San Jose and the beautiful bay. Riders can enjoy a perfect view of the nearby Bay Bridge and its signature orange span.

Celebrate your Christmas in the Park
For more than 60 years, Christmas in the Park has been a holiday tradition for the community of San Jose. This festival of lights, decorations, and entertainment is free to visit and open every day from November 1st through December 24th.
The main attraction of Christmas in the Park is the Christmas Village, where you can see fancifully-decorated Christmas trees and other holiday displays made by local businesses and community organizations. There are also local vendors selling tasty treats like churros and hot cocoa. Families can come together to enjoy holiday concerts featuring local talents, like guitarists and pianists. And visitors can bring their pets during a special pet parade that runs on Fridays and Saturdays in December.
Christmas in the Park is located at Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park near downtown San Jose, within walking distance from many hotels in Silicon Valley, including The Hotel De Anza and Hotel Valencia Santana Row.
